The Black Head Bazaar (Markets) are held on the first Sunday of each month from September to May. You will find them in the park near the Hallidays Point Shopping Centre - the park beside the sea at Hallidays Point. This is a community market organised and operated by Hallidays Point Landcare Group with all funds raised going into the local community.
Black Head Markets are hugely popular with locals and visitors to the area - especially those held in December and January. It is a great place to find that unusual gift for that person that has everything. There are over 130 stalls selling woodwork, local arts & crafts, jewellery, clothes, gingerbread cakes, home grown produce, home made jams, doggy treats, hot gourmet food, coffee etc. It is especially well known for the large number of plant stalls (palms, tube stock and local native plants), and the barbeque breakfast that runs all morning (very tempting as the bacon and egg rolls smell so yummy).
We try to get along to the Black Head Markets as often as possible to stock up on locally grown fruit, vegetables, honey, macadamia products, home made goats milk soap and plants. These markets are very busy and parking is provided within the park - local volunteer groups help out with directions. I think this is one of the best markets in this area.
