Nabiac is a village on the Pacific Highway, about 24 kilometres south of Taree and 25 kilometres west of Forster/Tuncurry. It is very popular on the weekends with locals and tourists to visit the various cafes or the Nabiac Hotel for a meal.

Nabiac Hotel (Pub) has a large choice on the menu and also offers a variety of meals for $9.90 - exceptionally good value. You will often see tourist buses parked outside the Nabiac Hotel, stopping by for a meal before continuing their travels. I understand that the local butcher has really good meat and the baker has the best pies around - I have yet to try either establishment.

The Nabiac Farmers Market is held on the LAST Saturday of the month, at the Nabiac Showground from 8 am till 12 noon. This is a non-profit community event and local growers sell organic vegies, free range eggs, local fruits, homemade goodies, olive products, honey, natural skin care, wines, sourdough bread, a variety of plants, locally made crafts, and you can even buy a chook.  Great idea to support local producers - help reduce those carbon miles!

The National Motorcycle Museum can be found at Nabiac and is Australia's largest collection of vintage, veteran, and classic motorcycles - they are open every day (except Christmas day).

Nabiac backs onto the Wallamba River which is a great place to try your hand at fishing, boating or stand up paddleboarding. We recently attended the Nabiac caravan, fishing, boating and 4WD show which was held at the showground. This was much larger than I expected with plenty of caravans, camper trailers, boats etc on display. Well worth the $15 entry fee.
