Kakadu is a very popular holiday destination and there is lots to see and do. You will not see all that Kakadu has to offer if you stay on the main road - you need to visit the lookouts and do some climbing to view this beautiful landscape. We found the visitor information centre housed in a beautiful building with great displays - we gained a real appreciation of Aboriginal life in this area. I found it fascinating to learn how Aboriginal people understand their environment to find different food sources during the varying seasons.

We visited Kakadu during August when the water-ways were starting to recede, so I think I need to return straight after the wet. Our early morning trip on Yellow Water was spectacular and the wildlife lived up to all expectations - we saw lots of crocodiles.

My parents visited Kakadu years ago. It will be interesting to compare your photos and theirs to see if it has changed much.
