Uluru (Ayers Rock) is located in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and is an iconic feature of Australia recognised around the world. It is hard to imagine the size of this great rock and it can be seen for miles surrounded by flat desert country. Sure you can read all the statistics but it is not until you see it jutting up of the landscape that you appreciate its sheer size.

As you enter the National Park it is suggested that your first stop should be the Cultural Centre with displays on the significance of Uluru to the local Indigenous people and find our information on the fauna and flora in the area. There area a number of walks around Uluru and guided tours are offered at various locations.

Visiting Uluru should definitely be on your bucket list.
