Gayndah is a small town in Queensland about 140 kilometres north of Kingaroy on the Burnett Highway. This is a large citrus growing area but we happened to passing through at the wrong time of year for freshly picked fruit.

Gayndah can be found on the banks of the Burnett River and the local caravan sits on the opposite side to the main shopping street.  We parked the car and caravan to take a walked along the main street There are some interesting old buildings with a statue of a jockey representing the Gayndah Jockey Club proudly siting on a horse in the centre of one of the large streets.

This appeared to be a lovely little place.
