Nanango is a pretty little place between Toowoomba and Kingaroy at a junction of the Burnett and D'Aguilar Highways in the South Burnett Region of Queenslands. This is one of the places in the area where you can base yourself to explore Bunya Mountains National Park.  See the amazing Bunya Pines which are quite unique with nuts that can weigh up to 10 kilograms. They fall between 10 and 30 metres and they say you would not want to be standing underneath.  Apparently you can eat the pods within the nuts if they are boiled.  I purchased some local Bunya Nut Chutney to taste - delicious.

Nanango is the fourth oldest town in Queensland and has some beautiful historic building around town.
