The Sunshine Coast of Queensland starts about 100 kilometres north of Brisbane near Coloundra. This is a really popular place to holiday due to the beautiful climate and great beaches. This region includes the famous Noosa Heads, Coolum, Eumundi (well known for the markets held every Wednesday and Saturday), and the Glass House Mountains. Things to see include - Australian Zoo, Underwater World, Buderim Ginger Factory, Ettamogah Pub, etc. You will find a range of world class restaurants, cafes and golf courses at various locations in this region.

The Sunshine coast offer a vast variety of accommodation from five star resorts and self contained apartment, to backpacker accommodation and caravan/camping grounds. Maybe head up into the hinterland for, rainforests, great country views, pretty little villages etc, and still only be about 30 minutes from a beautiful beach.

The Sunshine Coast is our "home" (we travel full time) and when we return to visit family, we know we will definitely settle back here one day. We have seen so many lovely spots Aus wide, but the SC is our favourite. If you do visit, make sure you spend a day at Noosa National Park! (our most favourite spot)

The Sunshine coast is a great spot for a visit, or extended stay, the weather seems to be perfect every time I visit. Great beaches and waterways!
