We drove through Tumby Bay on our way to Whyalla in South Australia. This looks like a lovely little coastal village with a number of water sports available for people visiting the area. The jetty is easily accessed from the main car park and is a great place for fishing. This part of the Eyre Peninsula is famous for King George Whiting and there are fishing charters available for the holiday makers.
There is a park area beside overlooking the water with covered picnic tables, public toilets and plenty of parking. It was very windy when we stopped to look around and we noticed that the local hotel provided plenty of seating protected by glass panels to enjoy the view.
