The Huts (Beach) is one of the caravan sites on Tamala Station which is located in the southern part of the Shark Bay World Heritage Area in Western Australia. This is accessible by 2WD and has water on tap for showers and dishes (not suitable for drinking) and is one of the spots on the property that has a long drop toilet. There is a permanent building at this location which has a covered verandah overlooking the bay - a great place to sit in the evening and enjoy a pre-dinner drink with new friends. You will need to book at the Tamala Station Homestead for a site at The Huts where you can launch a boat into the waters of Henri Freycinet Harbour.

The turn off to Tamala Station is onto Useless Loop Road - about 85 kilometres from Denham. Some sealed road and then about 40 kilometres of dirt to the gates of Tamala Station Homestead where you pay the camping fee and pick up a key to the locked gates that lead to camping areas around the property.

Access to The Huts is via a gate almost directly across from the Homestead entrance, then seven kilometres of dirt road to reach the camp. Tamala Station is not only a great spot for fishing and boating, it is a convenient place to stay for access to Edel Land National Park (proposed) and a trip to Steep Point - the most westerly point of the Australian mainland. Access to Steep Point is by 4WD only as the roads are very sandy and corrugaqted.
