The Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk is a short distance from Walpole (heading towards Denmark) on the South Coast Highway in Western Australia. This is a unique experience and I am glad we stopped to take this walk around the top of the giant trees - Karri, Marri, Red Tingle and Yellow Tingle. A fee is payable in order to experience this walk through the tree tops, and I was very impressed to see that the gentle slope of the ramp leading up the walkway makes it accessible by wheelchairs and prams.

As you walking along this construction between the platforms you will notice that it will swing a bit in the breeze - there is a load limit so take note of how many people are nearby or walking with you. The highest point on the treetop walk is about 40 metres off the ground - a long way when you look down.

There is also a beautiful walk along the forest floor. Paths are well signposted and you can see how wide and tall some of these trees actually are. You are able to stand inside some of these Giants of the Forest.

The car parking area provides plenty of space when parking vehicles of all sizes - we were towing our caravan and had no problem getting around. I think this is a great experience and would recommend it to anyone who will be travelling in this southern part of Western Australia.
